The STC Regulator is identical to the AGR in the way in which is controls the timekeeping but it has an additional feature. The magnetic regulating coil is designed to catch and hold the pendulum when commanded by the control mechanism. This catching process is initiated by the time control system in spring and autumn when it stops and holds the pendulum for either 1 hour or 11 hours to make the appropriate time change. At the end of the holding period the pendulum is released thus restarting the clock. The system then reverts to the normal timekeeping regulation mode.

The STC regulator is supplied in kit form and is straightforward to install. All the equipment is supplied together with full installation instructions. Alternatively, we can arrange for an installer to quote you for installation.
